Theresa Fraser
Vocals and Keyboard
Throughout her life, Theresa pursued her passion for both sports and music. After her creaky knees said, “no more”, she hung up her ball cleats and hockey skates, and started focussing on music.
Since then, she has sung in several choirs, performed in musical theatre and opera productions and is currently in three bands. She is thrilled to return to her country music roots by being a part of the new Whiskey & Rain country/soul band.
Michael Fraser
Vocals and Rhythm Guitar
Mike started out trying to pursue a career in throat singing but discovered he was no good at it so he concentrated on singing and playing country music, fronting the Silver Tooth Band in Calgary for over 25 years.
Upon moving to the Okanagan he joined different pop/rock bands but his first love was realized when he joined Whiskey and Rain.
Jay Wilkins
Bass and Vocals
Jay began playing bass guitar in middle school as part of the punk scene in Calgary. Eventually, he found his way to B.C. and to rock and roll, performing with the campus pub house band at the University of Victoria.
Now, almost two decades later, and a long way from his punk rock roots, Jay has been expanding his bass and vocal skills by diving headfirst into the country and soul genres.
Paul Mortimer
Lead guitar and Vocals
It was that cheap Fender knock off Paul received for his fourteenth birthday that started things off. Eventually playing in rock bands in Vancouver, blues bands in Calgary and jazz at Cap College. He even played banjo in an alt pop band in Winnipeg.
The one genre he never saw coming? Playing lead guitar in a country band while having the most musical fun ever.
Bob Kimmerly
Drums, vocals and cowbell
Bob started hitting pots and pans with kitchen utensils as a youngster, graduated to living room pillows with knitting needles, and eventually got his first drum set around 12 years of age - with actual drumsticks.
Self-taught, he has played in many rock and blues bands over the years, predominantly in Vancouver and Hong Kong.
